Terms of Service
Last updated: 6 July 2026
1. Who we are
Loom is a service provided by Loom Presence LTD, a company being incorporated in the United Kingdom ("Loom", "we", "us"). You can contact us at contact@loompresence.co.uk.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Loom account. By signing up you confirm that you are 18 or over and legally able to enter into this agreement. We may extend Loom to younger users in the future under a separate framework; until then, accounts by minors are not permitted.
3. Your account
- Keep your login credentials secure and do not share them.
- You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
- Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
- The vault passcode is stored as a hash and cannot be recovered. If you lose it, you may lose access to vault contents.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create in Loom — your anchors, memories, awe moments, creations, threads and replies. By using Loom you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, transmit and display your content solely to operate the service for you and, where you choose to share, for members of the circles you belong to.
You are responsible for what you post. Do not upload content you do not have the right to share, or that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes someone else's rights.
5. Community rules
Loom is a quiet, respectful space. When using threads, circles, or any shared surface, you agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, bully, or target other people;
- Post hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or violent content;
- Share other people's personal data without their consent;
- Impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity;
- Send spam, scams, phishing, or promotional content;
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or overload the service.
We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. We are not obliged to pre-moderate content, but we may act on reports and at our discretion to keep Loom safe.
6. AI features
Loom includes AI-generated features (creative sandbox, transcription and similar). AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected. It is provided for reflection and creative use only, and is not professional advice of any kind (medical, mental-health, legal, financial). See our Privacy Policy for how AI inputs are handled.
7. Not a health or crisis service
Loom supports reflection and presence — it is not a therapy, counselling, medical or crisis service. If you are in distress or in an emergency, please contact your local emergency services or a qualified professional.
8. Pricing and paid features
Loom is currently free to use. We may introduce advertising and, after the testing period, premium features on a paid basis. Any paid features will be clearly presented, with pricing and cancellation terms shown before you subscribe. Existing free features you rely on will not be arbitrarily removed without reasonable notice.
9. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from within the app. On deletion, your data is removed from active systems within 30 days, subject to short residual retention in encrypted backups. See the Privacy Policy for the inactivity and warning-email schedule.
10. Suspension and termination by us
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, put the service or other users at risk, or where required by law. Where reasonable, we will give you notice and an opportunity to respond.
11. Service availability
We work to keep Loom reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may update, change or discontinue features to improve the service or for legal reasons.
12. Disclaimers
Loom is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under UK consumer law that cannot be waived.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss of profits arising from your use of Loom. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you in-app or by email before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have where you live.
